What Is Long Hair FUE?

FUE collects follicular units individually from the donor area. In Long Hair FUE, the hair on the collected grafts remains long through extraction and implantation. This allows the visible length and direction of the transplanted hairs to be seen immediately, while the lasting result develops through healing and later growth.

How Is It Different from an Unshaven Hair Transplant?

“Unshaven” may describe keeping surrounding hair long even when selected donor hairs are shortened during harvesting. Long Hair FUE specifically preserves the hair length on the grafts. The donor area, recipient area and graft hair length each need to be considered when discussing preparation.

ASMED provides postoperative instructions before you leave the clinic. You return the following day for a wash and check. Follow the specific guidance given on washing, combing and protecting the grafts, and ask the clinic when your work, exercise and usual hair care can resume.

Long Hair FUE Results

The long hairs visible after implantation provide an early view of their arrangement. These hairs can shed before new growth develops, so this first appearance does not represent the final density. The result is assessed over the following months.
